Wild Fern

Wild Fern is a production company founded by a biology professor at Union University. The company’s sole project currently is the TV show “Working on the Wild Side”, a self-described Dirty Jobs type show about the many opportunities for young people looking to work in the animal conservation industry.

Wild Fern Logo

This logo is for the production company started by Dr. Micah Fern. The name Wild Fern takes after his last name, as well as the fern that creates the negative space in the logo. The positive space is a Bear’s hind print. The line quality of the logo is purposefully balanced between rough and clean, to capture the outdoor nature while maintaining the integrity of a production company. The bear print can stand alone as a logo replacement or an icon, whichever suits the situation best.

Working on the Wild Side

This is the logo for the show that Wild Fern produces, Working on the Wild Side. The logo has no variants or size changes since it only appears in the show, on TV screens and phones. Because of this, scalability is also not an issue. The logo combines the rough, wild texture with lettering similar to stenciling on work sites, in order to efficiently portray the subject matter of the show.
